Romance of Wonder Woman and Abe Lincoln
Small Portrait of Abraham Lincoln
Small Portrait of Abraham Lincoln. 9x12 ink on Bristol Paper.
Yesterday was Lincoln's Birthday. I didn't get a chance to post this yesterday, so I'm doing it a day late. The story goes that a young girl wrote Lincoln and suggested he would look better with a beard and that prompted him to grow his iconic goatee. This is based on a younger Lincoln probably a newly elected Lincoln.

Looking forward in February
February is short month with much to look forward to. For me and this art project two large annual events occur. The first is Fashion Week in New York. I am here in NY for the next 2 weeks. My goal is make artwork in the evenings after all the photo shoots are over. The other is Abe Lincoln's Birthday on the 12th. I have been musing over ideas for artwork to commemorate the event.

I finished this piece after looking through the Library of Congress images. Gatchaman is the Japanese title for the animated show we know in the US as Battle of the Planets or G-Force.
You can purchase it on eBay here.

Lincoln photo set on US Library of Congress Flickr Page
I love the Flickr page of US Library of Congress. My good friend at Kill Palm Trees introduced it to me a year or so ago. I haven't gone back for bit and when I returned I found a collection of photos of Lincoln. The quality of the images they post is great and some of the images I have never seen before. See the photos of Lincoln here.

No 16 of 4000 Lincoln as Batman taking a break with Batgirl
No 16 of 4000. It's been a while since my last post. Last month I had a great personal event that needed my entire focus. I plan to continue my quest to 4000 starting today. Today's post is a continuation of my Lincoln as Batman theme. This time Lincoln takes a break back stage to hang out with Batgirl.
